Honours and Cash Support for Families of July Movement Victims in Feni

On 21 April 2025, at the Feni Sadar Upazila Auditorium, Runner Bangladesh Development Society organised an event titled Honouring the Warriors of July. Families of 10 martyrs and injured individuals from the July Movement were each honoured with a certificate and given BDT 10,000 in cash.

Chief guest Mr. Ismail Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), urged the youth to uphold the spirit of the July Movement and contribute to nation-building. He also praised the society for this noble initiative.

Special guest Ms. Sultana Nasrin Kanta, Upazila Executive Officer of Feni Sadar, expressed sympathy to the mothers who lost their children and paid deep respect to the heroes of the movement.

Safiqul Hasan, Executive Director of Runner Bangladesh, called on everyone to preserve and pass on the spirit and sacrifices of the July Movement.

The event was hosted by Feni District Head of Runner Bangladesh, Faijullah Noman. The welcome speech was delivered by Vice Chairman Abdullah Hasan, alongwith leaders of the Feni chapter of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. Family members of the victims shared emotional recollections, making the atmosphere deeply moving.
